I Guess I Felt Like I Needed a Regular Dose of Humility!

For some reason, TODAY was the day I decided I needed more to do. Allow me to explain...

I started going LIVE on TikTok fairly early into my digital part of this Journey, because that's what my program mentor said we should do. From start to finish, it was the worst thing I did so far.

I went into "Grow Rooms" to get the requisite 1000 followers, which honestly, Michele did frown upon, but she also had two different trainings in our program run by very successful people with the program who said otherwise.

'Go into the grow rooms and get your thousand followers as fast as possible...because then you can go LIVE, and LIVES are where the money is!'

And I made the mistake of believing them!

What I did not, could not have known, was that my algorithm would then be messed up for months, and then, NO ONE, if anyone that happened into those coveted LIVE sessions, would ever be interested in any product I was trying to sell.

And sales was exactly what I was trying to do, because I have to be honest and say that no matter how much she claims it's "attraction marketing", Michele is selling a product...365 days a year. Yes, she NEVER takes a day off!

Even after training and attempting to just mimic Michele's style, I HATED it...absolutely, hated it!

So I let it go for awhile and tried to figure out precisely what God wanted and how He wanted me to do this...just He and I coming up with our own marketing plan.

And what came to mind is that this girl's got some skills, I mean some REAL skills that a lot of people don't have anymore & I've seen homesteaders creating a thirst for online.

I mean, if you want to bake it, cook it, grow it, preserve it, sew it, crochet it, create it, or more, I probably know a little bit about what you are trying to do.

And, my kitchen, dining table, and garden are where I will always be most comfortable, so that's probably where I should go LIVE...and do something I am comfortable doing. Sitting in my office/spare bedroom, holding a white board, saying the same thing every day, ad naseum...that is SO not me!

Now, my LIVES have taken on a whole new flavor (almost literally!). Which brings me to today.

I had SO MUCH FUN going LIVE today, promoting my first TikTok Shop item (more info to come) that I later thought, 'Ya know...most of what I'm doing LIVE now is what I see these people I watch on YouTube doing all the time!'

And little known thing about me, I wanted to go on YouTube in 2019, even asked someone to help me do it. They weren't interested in helping me, and when I started with DGC, then found out I could eventually be on multiple platforms, I KNEW that's where I was headed.

At the writing of this post, TikTok's fate in the U.S. is unknown, and honestly, they are suppressing my videos so much I almost don't care.

The same videos over on YouTube are outperforming, sometimes 10-to-1. 'So let's throw those LIVES up on YouTube too!', I heard myself think.

And here we go! Another fun leg of the Journey...where people get to see me fumble, stumble, but also try to connect with stay-at-home moms who really need a break right now.

I'm thinking that there might just be a few struggling SAHMs on YouTube too!
